¤ But if we look forward to something we
don't yet have,we must wait patiently and confidently (Romans 8 vs 25)(NLT).
Fighting on our own can be so
energy draining and frustrating. Most often it's because we lack patience and we
are not willing to hold unto the promises of God in his word that we are fitted
for. Patience is a very important tool required in our Christian walk, if we must
fulfill purpose, destiny and achieve all that God has called us to become here
on earth and also help us make heaven.

2nd Peter 1 vs 6a(amplified) says "And in (exercising ) knowledge, (develop)
self -control and in (exercising ) self-control, (develop) steadfastness
(patience, endurance ). Impatience is a great robber ,two things happen when we
decide to be impatient concerning the promises of God over our lives

The above image portrays how at first, we go all out on
our own making our own decisions,we end up frustrated, disappointed and making
so many mistakes. At the end of it all, we
have to start all over again, there by prolonging our journey .What was
supposed to take 2years if only we were patient, will end up taking longer.
The second price of impatience is
the most costly. Impatience can make us loose our perfect destiny in God
Altogether. According to 1st Samuel 13 vs 8-14(Amplified bible).
8. Saul waited seven days according to the set time Samuel had
appointed. But Samuel had not come to Gilgal and the people were scattering from
Saul. 9. So Saul said , bring me the burnt offering and the peace offering, and he
offered the burnt offering{which he was forbidden to do}. 10. And just as he
finished offering the burnt offering, behold Samuel came! Saul went out to meet
and greet him. 11. Samuel said, what have you done? Saul said, because I saw that
the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days
appointed, and that the philistines were assembled at Mishmash, 12. I thought, The Philistines will come down
now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord, so I forced
myself to offer a burnt offering. 13 . And
Samuel said to Saul, you have done foolishly! You have not kept the
commandment of the Lord your God which he commanded you; for the Lord would have
established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14. But now your kingdom shall not
continue; the Lord has sought out {David} a man after His own heart and the
Lord has commanded him to be Prince and ruler over His people, because you have
not kept what the Lord commanded you.
King Saul lost his kingdom because of impatience, King Saul went ahead and performed the sacrifice of burnt offering which he
was forbidden from performing instead of waiting for the Prophet Samuel thereby,
loosing his kingdom. Sarah could not wait patiently for the son of promise, she
made Abraham go into her maid (Genesis 16 vs 1-end), though the son of promise was eventually born
(Genesis 21 vs 1), the mistake had already been made and today the whole world
suffers because of it.
I am sure we all have been impatient at one point or the other in our
lives and if we are sincere with our selves, we can attest to how much it cost
us. As a person, I am learning to be patient while walking with God because the
unnecessary circle of failure, unhappiness and frustration is not worth it. Being
patient will reduce the unnecessary mistake we make in our personal and public
lives. I don't know what it is you are trying to figure out yourself, just
patiently wait on God, he will always come through, not when we want it, not how
we expect it but definitely at the right time.

Finally in the words of Adewale
Aladejana "Life in Christ is beautiful, it doesn't work like magic but if
you stay with God, a day is coming when
all your labours will be rewarded".
